VFW POST 4300, AT THE DIRECTION OF OUR FLORIDA GOVERNOR AND VFW STATE COMMANDER TONY PURDY, IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE (AS ALL POSTS IN DISTRICT 11 & ALL VFW POSTS IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA ARE CLOSED), DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS. WE ARE SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE TO OUR VETERANS. PLEASE BE SAFE, FOR THE SAKE OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, AND ALL YOUR FRIENDS. WE WILL NOTIFY YOU, AS SOON AS THIS SITUATION CHANGES. THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING, AS WE PARTICIPATE IN THE EFFORT TO STOP THE SPREAD OF THIS DEADLY VIRUS.
After a Positive approval vote, by Post 4300 membership; we have been making significant improvements to your post, during the shutdown. The entire interior of the post have been painted (ceiling and all walls), with new carpeting installed. All the chairs have also been replaced. It looks fantastic. Also, we are currently working on putting down a new floor in the kitchen. The Post looks forward to the directive from the Governor, and our State VFW Commander that will allow us to reopen.
Post 4300 will be moving ahead with it's officer elections on Monday, May 18th, at 7pm. We will maintain social distancing at the meeting. We have been given the o.k. to hold such a meeting by District and State Commanders; whether the post is fully reopened by then or not. District Commander Charles Norris will be there to help with vote counting and to swear in the new 2020-2021 Post 4300 Officers. Nominations will be reopened at the meeting for those wishing to run for a position. Voting will commence after this 2nd round of nominations are taken from the floor. At the last meeting, the following members were nominated for office: Commander: Dale Barnes, Bob Sisson; Senior Vice Commander: Greg Schneider; Jr. Vice Commander: Open; QuarterMaster: Jim Campbell; Post Adjutant: Lee Hughes; Chaplain: Open; Judge Advocate: Open; Surgeon: Open; Service Officer: Open; House Committee: Joe Actilla, Bob Kimball; Ken Costello; Joe Guttilla. Following the last meeting, several other members expressed interest in a position (Bugsy & Tim Plant, but will have to be nominated from the floor, along with any other members interested in any of the above positions. If you are willing to serve our Post as an officer, please decide what position you would like to run for and be at the upcoming meeting. This is "our post"! The more that we all chip in and help; the easier it is for all and the better our post runs. See you at the meeting on Monday, May 18th @ 7pm..

BLUE WATER CLAIMS- Claims are now being processed for "Blue Water" service in the US Navy and other affected branches.
URGENT: BE SURE TO READ " VETERAN COMMUNITY CARE- VA MISSION ACT OF 2018" This is of extreme importance if you rely on the VA Health Care Service. Look under news section and the article "Veteran Community Care- Urgent Care".
The Post membership has spoken. We will remain at our current location. Expect shoring up of our building, renovation and painting to spruce up our post.
