WE REMEMBER

In the spring of 1915, shortly after losing a friend in Ypres, a Canadian doctor, Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae was inspired by the sight of poppies growing in battle-scarred fields to write a now famous poem called 'In Flanders Fields'. After the First World War, the poppy was adopted as a symbol of Remembrance. The poppy soon was adopted as the official memorial flower of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. ... The VFW Buddy Poppy program provides compensation to the veterans who assemble the poppies, provides financial assistance in maintaining state and national veterans' rehabilitation and service programs.

VFW RIDERS GROUP

Our Post 4300 VFW riders group is a extremely active group. Camaraderie and cruising fun is a goal. Along with fund raisers for needy groups and vets. Our riders lay wreaths at Christmas time, while donating to many activities like Vets in need at Bay Pines Hospital. Our group would love your participation.

Veteran Outreach

Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help. Post 4300 takes the needs of our Veterans very seriously. Our Veterans Service Office is willing to help any veteran in need.

As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group VFW Post 4300 would be honored for any veterans of a Foreign Conflict to join our ranks. The dues a small, but the benefits are great to all Veterans. We provide a comfortable canteen to relax, enjoy food and live music and mingle with fellow vets and friends. We are all the same.Live entertainment is provided throughout the week and some fantastic meals are also available. See our calendar for exact days and schedules. Games like Washer; Ship, Captain & Crew; Bar Poker and Bingo will give you and added fun reason to join our ranks. We hope to see you soon! Come join the camaraderie and fun.

BLUE WATER CLAIMS- Claims are now being processed for "Blue Water" service in the US Navy and other affected branches.
